The Small Business tips today will cover some tricks of the Twitter trade in communication.

 

  1. To reply to someone publicly, type “ @username message “ like this and it will alert them and link to their profile.
  2. To send a direct message to someone (this is private) type “ d username message “ with those exact spaces.
  3. If you want to talk on a specific topic or create one of your own use a hash tag by adding # to the front of a word.
  4. Always acknowledge every reply or direct message. Let your followers know you hear them.

 

Daily Overview: Talk publicly @username, talk privately d username, create a topic and acknowledge your followers.
