Tips from Thursday, April 30, 2009

The Small Business tips today will be about placing internet ads.

  1. The 3 most common ways online advertising is purchased: cost-per-impression (CPM), cost-per-click (CPC), & cost-per-action (CPA).
  2. Graphic advertisements are quicker to get people’s attention than text-based ads.
  3. Text ads are cheaper to run and produce than graphic ads and in many studies show to be more successful.
  4. Google AdWords provides a simple way to purchase highly targeted advertising, regardless of your budget for nearly all formats.

Daily Overview: Type of advertising & pricing will depend on goals, products & services you’re advertising. Google = all-in-1 solution.

I post small business tips on my Twitter account each day, Monday through Friday. This is a reposting of those tips.
