Tips from Tuesday, March 17, 2009

The Small Business tips today will cover what to do first after you sign up for Twitter.

  1. Create your Twitter profile. Add text about you AND your business. Choose a design theme.
  2. Upload a picture of yourself or combine your photo and your logo. I don’t recommend only a logo.
  3. Ask a friend to try Twitter with you on their own account. Say a few things in the Twitter stream.
  4. Find people to follow. Follow the people that those people talk to.

Daily Overview: Make your twitter page homey and informational. Update, communicate, find more people.

I post small business tips on my Twitter account each day, Monday through Friday. This is a reposting of those tips.
