Tips from Wednesday, April 22, 2009

The Small Business tips today will be about print advertising. It’s still a valuable means to promote your business!

  1. Newspaper advertisements are a great way to target a local population.
  2. Write a letter to your newspaper editor. A personal story or recommendation is your best newspaper advertisement.
  3. Direct mail is still effective if you're clear, concise and offer a respectable incentive along with it.
  4. Try yellow pages and magazines for promotions planned well in advance.

Daily Overview: Use the old, tried but true methods of print marketing in a way that addresses this instant-results society.

I post small business tips on my Twitter account each day, Monday through Friday. This is a reposting of those tips.
