Tips from Thursday, April 23, 2009

The Small Business tips today will be about the expense and exposure of marketing on television and the radio.

  1. Television marketing is more suited to high profile campaigns. High cost can be worth it if the money is in hand.
  2. There is a high level of prestige associated with radio and TV advertising and can elevate a business better than other efforts.
  3. Radio ads are relatively cheap to produce and place. This allows the placing of ads on more than one station in a given market.
  4. Sound, the spoken word offers emotion and encourages the listener’s imagination to produce their own desirable image of a product.

Daily Overview: Television and radio make for memorable marketing impressions. The better choice depends on the budget.

I post small business tips on my Twitter account each day, Monday through Friday. This is a reposting of those tips.
