Tips from Friday, April 24, 2009

 

The Small Business tips today will be about marketing with the phone, AKA telemarketing. It doesn’t all have to be bad!

 

  1. Find someone to be a “Devil's Advocate” for you BEFORE you find it when calling prospects. Be prepared. Be respectful.
  2. Believe in what you’re selling. If you can’t believe in what you're selling, you won’t see success.
  3. Find out how to meet your prospect's need with your product or service instead of trying to sell them something. If they don't need it, move on.
  4. Break through communication clutter when cold calling. Be yourself, insert personality. Sounding robotic is instantly off-putting. 

 

Daily Overview: Find a way to make cold calling easy for you and for your prospects. Find a need, fill a need. Move on.
