Tips from Thursday, December 11, 2008

The Small Business tips today will be about learning what your employees want from you as a leader.

  1. Employees want to trust you and for you to trust them. Take the step first.
  2. Employees want communication to be two-way. Listen to them.
  3. Employees want to be challenged. Set goals and let them be creative and authoritative in meeting said goals.
  4. Employees want to be recognized for a job well done. Tell them when they're doing good every chance you can!

Daily Overview: Be the leader your employees want. Trust = 2-way. Communicate = 2-way. Challenge creativity. Recognition!
