Reservations are still being taken for the Mount Prospect
Chamber of Commerce annual Spring Golf event sponsored by
NorthwestCommunityHospital and co-sponsored
by the River Trails Park District. Rob Roy Golf Course will once again be the
host of the event, which raises money for educational seminars, workshops and
Chamber programs.
Registration begins at 11:00a.m. with a shotgun start
at11:30a.m. New, this year, is an opportunity for the foursomes of women
golfers to have their own “designated” caddy to make sure all their gear is
clean, and their refreshment needs are met promptly. There will also be a
putting contest with an outstanding restaurant gift certificate as the prize.
For a hole-in-one a golfer could win an automobile from Arlington Heights Ford
on hole #7 or $10,000 from American Chartered Bank on hole # 3. In addition,
every golfer will receive a goody bag with balls, tees and other golf
paraphernalia..
Cliff Higley, President and Chairman of the event indicated
“There is still time to get a foursome registered but time is running out. I
just want to encourage all golfers to come out for a day of great fun because
there will be different contests on every hole. Bring your clients, your
co-workers or your neighbors to play golf and give them an opportunity to win
some fabulous prizes.”
“This is a great opportunity for employers to treat
their staff or for companies to entertain customers and valued vendors,” said
Chamber Executive Director Jim Uszler.
A late lunch will be served for all participants by the 10th
Hole Bar & Grill. For information or to make reservations call the Mount
Prospect Chamber of Commerce at (847) 398-6616 or go to the website www.mountprospectchamber.org.
