Illinois Chamber Secures Extension of Crucial Business Tax Credits
The House quickly and unanimously passed legislation earlier today that extends the sunset date for the Manufacturer’s Purchase Credit (MPC), the Graphic Arts Machinery & Equipment Exemption and the Replacement Tax Investment Credit for another five years.
SB 1691 (Althoff/Mathias) effectively prevents these credits from expiring this year, which will help Illinois businesses remain more cost-competitive with neighboring states.
