The Mount Prospect Chamber invites all artists or aspiring artists to enter a T-shirt design contest for the best design promoting our annual Midsummer Downtown Block Party on July 25, 2009. In addition to winning, the winner's design will be featured on T-shirts that will be sold throughout the community and on-line.

The proceeds from sale of the T-shirt will help fund programs and publications that are delivered to all residents of Mount Prospect.

Entries must be submitted by May 30 to be considered. Design requirements and directions for submitting entries are listed below.

"This is a great opportunity to have some fun and really make an impact in the community," said Jim Uszler, executive director of the Mount Prospect Chamber.

The design competition is open to all students, artists/designers and anyone with talent, drive and creativity. All entrants must be at least 16 years of age. Entrants may not work for or be related to any employee of the Mount Prospect Chamber.

  • Designs should convey the message of this family event in a way that is immediate, engaging and fun.
  • Designs must be positively focused and cannot depict dark imagery, nudity, drug use or any message that is demeaning or offensive.
  • Designs must be easily reproduced in a variety of formats using different printing techniques.
