The 5K Corporate Challenge Run/Walk, sponsored by the Mount Prospect Chamber of Commerce and Northwest Community Hospital, drew more than 260 runners to the Kensington Business Center on August 6. About 20 businesses displayed their products and services for runners before and after the race, which will now become an annual event.
The Mount Prospect Park District Golf Club has continued its status as a trendsetter in environmental care for the past 10 years. As a member of the Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary Program, the golf course protects the environment with its certification and education plan.
